2023 colts sired by takes alotta metal

D & S Cattle Co. proudly welcomed Takes Alotta Metal to the ranch in 2016 and today, “Gary” is the total package. He recently competed at the Black Hills Stock Show, and came home the 2023 Ranch Horse Versatility Champion. Takes Alotta Metal was 1st in Herd Work, Reining, Trail, and Confirmation. He was also 2nd in Cow Work and Steer Stopping.

Having had a successful show year in 2020, in spite of the times, he was crowned 2020 AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse High Point Junior Horse Champion and was awarded a saddle at the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma while he was there to compete in June! 

 

He has everything a performance and ranch horse sire should have. Form to function, disposition, conformation, an impeccable pedigree with an outstanding mare line.

 

Takes Alotta Metal has a great mind, huge stop, cow sense, and the looks to go with it. He recently received his AQHA Open Performance Register of Merit certificate as well. 

 

We are very proud that Takes Alotta Metal shows very well in the arena then comes home and gets work done on the ranch. D&S Cattle Co. is a Ranching Heritage Breeder located in the hills of southeast Montana. All foals sired by Takes Alotta Metal are eligible to compete in AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge events.
